BLANKETS
Staying Warm and Comfortable.
We always need blankets. We use almost any type of blanket except for lap blankets or children’s blankets. New blankets are great. Clean and gently used blankets are also good. In the summer, we use a lot of fleece throws (50” x 60”).

WATER
Water is life.
We can always use water in 16 oz bottles. Water is greatly appreciated by the people we meet on the streets - all year ‘round.

RAMEN NOODLES
Something Quick and Filling
During outreach, we just call this soup. We carry the noodles that come in cups (Nissin Cup Noodles or Maruchan Instant Lunch). We have thermoses of hot water to make them on the spot. These days we also carry hot sauce,. All we need are chicken and beef flavors and we make them spicy to order.

COFFEE
That Warm Feeling…
You might think coffee wouldn’t be popular at night, but people do take coffee from our street outreach team and it helps them feel warm and comfortable. We can use ground coffee. Any brand is fine, with Folgers being the most popular. We use it for office visitors and during street outreach.

Clothing and Household Items
HOPES not take donations of clothing or household items, but we have some great partners who do:
The Hospitality Center has a clothes closet that offers free clothing to people who need it.
Feather-a-Nest is a project of SAFE Haven of Racine. Feather-a-Nest provides furniture and household items through Racine’s housing programs for people experiencing homelessness, including HOPES’ Rapid Rehousing program.
