STREET OUTREACH
Meeting People Where They Are.
LOCATE.
People who live outside often are not walking through doors looking for services. Our street outreach teams are skilled at locating people where they sleep at night outside. We go out several times per week, all year long, in all weather conditions to find people who are experiencing homelessness.
ENGAGE.
Once our street outreach team makes contact with someone who is unsheltered, we start to speak with them and offer basic assistance, such as food, water, blankets, socks, and hygiene products. We will keep going back to meet with the person as long as they are on the streets and want to see us.
CONNECT.
Although we provide basic assistance to survive on the street, the main goal of street outreach is go get people off the streets and end their homelessness. We provide information on services, can connect people to food support, health insurance, government phones, income, and ultimately housing and their move from streets to home.
